Name: Ryan Yost
New position: Division president for Amcor Global Flexible Packaging Solutions
Previous position: President of Avery Dennison's Materials Group
Flexibles make up over half of Amcor’s business, buoyed by major end markets like proteins. In the most recent fiscal year, net sales exceeded $10 billion.
It’s also an area of expansion for Amcor. In November, the company announced plans to expand printing, lamination and converting at existing facilities to support North American meat, poultry and seafood customers’ flexible packaging needs.
Yost had a 25-year tenure at Avery Dennison, most recently becoming president of a $6 billion division in 2024. “Ryan brings proven success in delivering consistent, profitable organic growth,” Amcor highlighted in its announcement. “He previously held various senior leadership roles spanning commercial, operations, supply chain and material science responsibilities.”
Yost succeeds Fred Stephan, who is retiring from Amcor. Stephan will remain as an advisor until Dec. 31. Stephan joined the company through Amcor’s 2019 acquisition of Bemis. He served as president for the North America flexibles unit until 2024, when he became chief operating officer for flexibles globally.
Yost will work in the United States. Amcor plans to initiate a new U.S. headquarters in Miami in 2027.
In Amcor’s June 15 leadership announcement, the company also shared that Kate Pearlman has been appointed senior vice president for investor relations and treasury, joining Amcor from Lowe’s.
