It’s a new era of leadership in Amcor’s flexibles business. The packaging giant this month appointed Scott Fallon as its president of flexibles for North America.
He takes over for longtime Amcor leader Larry Weber, who is retiring. Fallon begins his tenure as Amcor also has new flexibles leadership globally: Ryan Yost, formerly of Avery Dennison, was appointed division president in June. “It’s always great to have fresh eyes in the business,” Fallon said in an interview with Packaging Dive.
Fallon emphasized a focus on growth, including in packaging for healthcare, snacks, condiments, protein and dairy.
“We expect to see an uptick in our ongoing investments at a higher rate than previously in the second half of this calendar year and going into the new fiscal year,” Fallon said.
The flexibles footprint in North America encompasses about 40 locations, according to an Amcor spokesperson. Since acquiring Berry Global in 2025, Amcor has integrated two flexibles sites in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Greenville, South Carolina, Fallon said, which together “support a lot of overwrap and shrink business.”
Amcor has been busy upgrading existing facilities in North America this year. In 2025, the company previewed plans to expand printing, lamination and converting capabilities with state-of-the-art equipment to increase production through the first half of 2026. Fallon said that implementation is more or less complete, although there will still be “some extrusion assets coming up in the fall of this year.”
Blown film asset investments will be a focus area going forward. “Those are are critical to our overall success in the business,” he said.
Fallon has been with Amcor for the last six years, most recently as vice president and general manager specializing in protein. During that time, he led the 2023 acquisition of Moda Systems, a manufacturer of automated protein packaging machines, Amcor highlighted. Previously he held positions at Sabic and GE Plastics.
