While sustainability and automation remain key discussion points at these events due to their influence on the industry, emerging trends including artificial intelligence and extended producer responsibility are also topics that are taking top billing.

Top packaging trade shows in 2027
EPR Think Tank
Jan. 26-27
New York
The two-day EPR Think Tank will unpack timely legal, regulatory and compliance topics, as well as lessons learned from EPR implementations to date.
Event organizer American Conference Institute says the gathering is meant for attorneys, sustainability professionals and compliance executives in CPG industries. There are two different afternoon tracks: one focused on compliance, data and finance and another focused on packaging and circularity.
MD&M West
Feb. 9-11
Anaheim, California
The Informa Markets show MD&M West seeks to bring together a broad swath of manufacturing stakeholders, including those in plastics and packaging as well as design and automation. There is also a medtech focus.
The Packaging Conference
Feb. 15-17
Miami
2027 marks the 20th year of TPC. It aims to bring together CPGs, resin suppliers, technology providers, equipment manufacturers, and container, closure and label manufacturers.
Food Packaging Summit
Feb. 22-23
Anaheim, California
The sixth annual Food Packaging Summit will focus on packaging performance, controlling costs and meeting new mandates. Notable topics include deploying traceability technologies as well as AI, robotics and advanced materials to cut supply chain costs.
Luxe Pack LA
Feb. 23-24
Los Angeles
The West Coast version of Luxe Pack says it “brings together premium packaging suppliers and decision-makers from beauty, fragrance, skincare, wellness, wine & spirits, fashion, lifestyle, and beyond.”
Plastics Recycling Conference
March 1-3
National Harbor, Maryland
The plastics event will touch on EPR, recyclability, global trade shifts and market dynamics. Attendees come from a mix of manufacturers and brands, recyclers, brokers, nonprofits and other groups.
PRC is co-located with the Resource Recycling Conference and Textile Recovery Summit.
Sustainability in Packaging US

Event organizer Smithers describes this as “the only conference dedicated to providing the entire packaging supply chain with the insights and networking needed to conquer economic headwinds and evolving regulatory and administrative challenges.”
Pack Expo Southeast

Atlanta
Pack Expo Southeast is back in the paper and packaging hub of Atlanta, following the inaugural edition of the event in 2025. Organizers expect some 500 exhibiting companies and more than 7,000 professionals from a range of CPG companies and dozens of vertical markets.
SPC Impact
April 13-15
Portland, Oregon
The annual spring Sustainable Packaging Coalition conference lands in Oregon, where extended producer responsibility program implementation has been underway for over a year. “We’ll experience all that Portland’s sustainability scene has to offer, from groundbreaking sustainability initiatives to intel on EPR in the state,” SPC says.

International Molded Fiber Association Annual Conference

The International Molded Fiber Association’s 29th annual conference aims to bring together molded fiber manufacturers, suppliers and equipment providers.

NPE: The Plastics Show

Produced by the Plastics Industry Association, this once-every-three-years event seeks to bring together the entire plastics supply chain, including packaging. Organizers say it’s the largest plastics trade show in the Americas. Noteworthy “technology zones” focus on materials, recycling and sustainability, and bottles.
Luxe Pack New York

The theme of the 2027 edition of this East Coast event is sourcing premium packaging that performs.
Organizers say the show floor will represent “the full premium packaging value chain,” featuring manufacturing and filling solutions, primary and secondary packaging, sustainable materials, decoration and finishing, and embellishment.
Packaging World Forum
June 16-17
Chicago
2027 brings the inaugural Packaging World Forum, focused on the regulation, operations, retail and e-commerce issues shaping packaging. An evolution of the former Packaging Recycling Summit, organizers say the event will be built around conversations. The PMMI event is targeted to brand owners, retailers, converters and regulators.

Pack Expo Las Vegas

Pack Expo, which PMMI touts as the biggest packaging and processing show of the year, returns to Las Vegas in fall 2027. Event organizers expect some 2,300 exhibitors and more 30,000 industry professionals across more than 40 vertical industries.

SPC Advance & CAA EPR Forum
Sept. 28-30
Milwaukee
This annual fall Sustainable Packaging Coalition conference is co-locating with the first-ever CAA EPR Forum in 2027. The two will share main-stage programming. The conference will run three days, while the forum will only run the second two days.
The inaugural Circular Action Alliance event aims to bring together producers, recyclers, municipalities, policymakers and service providers to focus on the practical side of EPR implementation and unpack material-specific strategies, recycling opportunities and more.
The forum offers the chance to be in person with CAA's national, state and technical experts.
